Kwan Yin is known as the Goddess of mercy and compassion.
She is one of the major deities in Buddhism.
Her attributes are those of compassion, healing, and centering, she lives in the heart chakra.
The legend of Kwan Yin is that she had attained enlightenment, but just as she was about to enter heaven she paused at the doorway and hearing the cries of the people of the world she decided to return and help humankind find the right path.
I LOVED painting this painting!
For me personally I find that there's just something about her face that has a calming quality, I hope you find that too!
